Piku – Review:
Piku essentially is the story of an aging and dependant father Bhaskor Banerjee (Amitabh Bachchan) and his single independent daughter Piku (Deepika Padukone) which takes place in a typical Indian home.
Bhaskor Banerjee is excessively cautious about his health problems, especially the bowel movements.
Piku on the other hand is a temperamental, independent and sexually active woman.
Rana Chaudhary (Irrfan Khan) owns a taxi service and is in love with Piku and an outsider of Banerjee family who is boggled by their family problems.
Rana Chaudhary takes Piku and her father on the road trip from Delhi to Kolkata and is trapped between roller coaster ride of father-daughter domesticfamily problems and is denoted as outsider when he offers to share his view point.
All the three stars, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan have presented their finest performances without making Piku a melodramatic or a romantic movie.
Piku comes across as the subtle movie that takes the audience on a roller coaster ride with its sine sensitive moments.
