Gurudev Hoysala Story Plot

In the movie "Gurudev Hoysala," Dhananjaya portrays a tough cop who brings together an orphan inter-caste couple, Bhoomi and Ravi, only to discover that Bhoomi is the daughter of the area's landlord.

Bhoomi's father, Dada, who opposes the union, sends his army to retrieve his daughter. Gurudev also receives orders from his superiors to bring back Bhoomi.

Despite Gurudev's efforts to save the couple, fate has other plans.

The year 2022 had its ups and downs for Dhananjaya, but his role in Gurudev Hoysala is a perfect comeback. He delivers stylish blows to the villains and looks good doing it.

However, Naveen Shankar's performance as Bali is a pleasant surprise. Director Vijay has utilized Naveen's potential to the fullest, and he even outshines Dhananjaya in some scenes.

When the two clash, they both give their best to outdo each other, making the film even more enjoyable.

Although the climax could have been stronger, Hoysala portrays cops in a positive light, which is a refreshing change from recent trends.

Gurudev Hoysala Movie Review

The setting in North Karnataka adds value to the story, and the treatment makes a significant difference. Pratap Narayan and Naveen Shankar's friendship is reminiscent ofDuryodhana and Karna from the Mahabharata.

Hoysala is a complete commercial entertainer with unforgettable dialogues, and writer Masthi deserves credit for making them powerful. Amrutha Iyengar plays the ideal wife with subtlety, performing well as someone who understands that people come first for the Hoysala.

The absence of an unnecessary love track, often used as a supplement in action movies, is also commendable.

Nagbhushan, Pratap Narayan, Achyut Kumar, Avinash, Rajesh Nataranga, and Raghu Shivamogga are valuable additions to the film.

The tempo of the movie, uplifted by musician Ajaneesh Loknath, complements the performances. Director Vijay has created a clean cop film that speaks to society as a whole.

Hoysala is a significant addition to Sandalwood's cop genre and is worth watching multiple times in the theatre with some popcorn.
