There was actor name Vijay Arora in Ramayana who played the role Meghnath.
Vijay Arora was a fine actor and Rajesh Khanna got scared seeing his Bollywood entry.

Ramayana first was run in the year 1987 till 1988 whereas Vijay Arora had made his entry in Bollywood before Ramayana.

Vijay Arora although he had a cameo role became very popular over Rajesh Khanna in the entire movie.

It is also said that Vijay Arora was least interested to be part of serial but Ramanad Sagar managed to convince him.
Unfortunately Vijay Arora lost his life due to stomach cancer at the age of 62.
