Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani is the story of the Royal Family of Ameerkot, which is ruled by Rajmata and Rana Indravadhan Singh Deo (Siddhant Karnick).
To make his destiny good, he marries Gayatri Seth (Drashti Dhami) who is the daughter of the state's biggest moneylender, Gopal Seth.
Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani focus actually relationship between Ranaji, who is still in love with his dead wife, and a commoner, Gayatri who finds that becoming a queen does not need have a fairy tale ending.
The show also shows that the journey of simple girl Gayatri who is a manglik girl but destiny makes her queen of Ranaji's heart.
