In a groundbreaking move, India is gearing up to host its inaugural Indian Street Premier League (ISPL), introducing an electrifying blend of cricket and entertainment. Scheduled from March 2 to March 9, 2024, in Mumbai, the tournament promises to captivate audiences with its unique format and star-studded ownership.
The ISPL features six teams, each owned by acting superstars from Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu cinema. Amitabh Bachchan's Majhi Mumbai, Akshay Kumar's Srinagar Ke Veer, Hrithik Roshan's Bangalore Strikers, Suriya's Chennai Singhams, Ram Charan's Falcon Risers Hyderabad, and Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan's Tiigers of Kolkata are set to battle it out on the streets.
The excitement kicks off with a special match at the opening ceremony on March 6, where cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar's Team Master's 11 will face off against Akshay Kumar's Team Khiladi XI.
All matches will be held at the Dadoji Kondadev Stadium in Thane, Mumbai, and will air live on Sony Sports Ten 2 TV channel. Additionally, Indian viewers can enjoy free live streaming on the SonyLIV app and website.
