The famous tabla player Ustad Zakir Hussain, who is also known as one of the Jewels of India, is unfortunately no more. He breathed his last in a San Francisco hospital after he was admitted for heart related problems.
The world falls silent as the tabla loses its maestro. Ustad Zakir Hussain, a rhythmic genius who brought the soul of India to global stages, has left us. Mr Hussain was there in hospital from two weeks where he has complications in his heart related issues as mentioned by his family members.
Zakir Hussain's sister also mentioned that he passed away peacefully. He was born on 9th March 1951 and was son to Ustad Alla Rakha. At the age of seven he started to perform and collaborate with many popular artists. He also received for Grammy Awards.
