Bollywood actress Nimmi, who was doe-eyed star of 1950s passed away at her Mumbai home on Wednesday evening, 25 March, 2020.
Actress Nimi breathed her last when she was 88 years old and had been in and out I the hospital for some time.
She had been unwell for quite and was brought to a suburban Juhu hospital wher she loses her breath.
Veteran actress Nimmi’s last rites takes place today where only actress’s close one will be there.
Nimmi was buried at a cemetery in Rely Road in Mumbai on Thursday afternoon,” the sources added.
The actress, Nimmi who was born with name Nawab Banoo, came to be known by her screen name ‘Nimmi’, well this name Nimmi was given to her by film maker Raj Kapoor.
Where after that raj Kapoor cast her as second lead in Barsaat in 1949 and after which there was no turning back point for Nimmi.
In her life, Nimmi worked with high profile actors of her era and later she left movies to get married to writer director S Ali Raza, who passed away in 2007.
