Indian Premier League 2025: RCB vs PBKS, the second match gets won by RCB in Punjab's home ground

With Royal Challengers Bangalore going against Punjab Kings for the second time after just 1 1-day gap, RCB get their revenge by defeating PBKS this time.

RCB and PBKS had their first face-off on 18 April in Chinnaswamy, where PBKS won in the shortened match of 14 overs.

However, this time with the tables turned, RCB made some changes in their team and won today’s match by dominating Punjab.

Romario Shepherd played today in the team for the first time, replacing Livingstone, who proved to be efficient as he is a fast bowler in addition to his batting.

Krunal Pandey took two important wickets of Prabhsimran and Priyansh Arya at the beginning of the match when PBKS was batting.

Suyash Sharma also took two wickets today while efficiently bowling his 4 overs, which put the brakes on the target score of PBKS, stopping them at just 157.

Rajat Patidar intelligently chose to bowl first today, and the fiery energy of Virat Kohli lit up the entire field for his teammates.

There was a run-out done by the RCB team, which made Nehal Wadhera walk out of the field after just making 5 runs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore showed an exceptional batting performance in the second innings with Devdutt Padikkal and Virat Kohli being the being scorers.

Phil Salt could not show his magic today as he got out early from Arshdeep’s bowl, after which Padikkal and Kohli built a long partnership.

Devdutt Padikkal got out after making 61 runs in 35 balls, while Virat Kohli was present on the field till the last ball, his score being 73 runs in 54 balls.

Rajat Patidar could not have a high score today as he got out by the end of the match.

Jitesh Sharma finished the match with a stylish six while there were still 7 balls left.

Virat Kohli was seen aggressively celebrating their win in front of Shreyas Iyer after his team faced a crushing defeat in Chinnaswamy.

Royal Challengers Bangalore got their 10 points and took the third position in the points table, with Punjab Kings coming down to the fourth position.
